First post, so sorry if I'm not doing this right. I've been running Mint 21 XFCE on an old Fujitsu laptop for a year or so with no problem until now.
Last update there was a broken package problem. I used Synaptic Package Manger to fix it. Got message that it was fixed; but when I tried to apply install got this message:
E: /var/cache/apt/archives/linux-image-5.4.0-167-generic_5.4.0-167.184_amd64.deb: cannot copy extracted data for './boot/vmlinuz-5.4.0-167-generic' to '/boot/vmlinuz-5.4.0-167-generic.dpkg-new': unexpected end of file or stream
Repeated numerous times with same result. I also tried to boot from live usbs of other distros; but could not do so even though the usb sticks were good, and were recognized.
Also tried to install XF Burn from the Software manager but could not do so because of the broken package.
Any fixes? or is my laptop bricked?
